Fast and Efficient:

Electricity credits are paid for in advance on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis in exchange for secure, contactless RFID card tokens with values of £5, £10, £20 and £50.
Using radio frequency technology the cards can be programmed with unique serial codes to help protect customers’ revenues and enable cancellation if lost or stolen.

Instead of needing to place a magnetic-stripe card in a meter’s slot, RFID cards need only to be held close enough to the new generation of pre-payment meters to transfer credits.

The cards are recharged by using a USB card reader and Windows® based software, giving the card issuer total control and security of cards issued.

About the Emlite MP23 RFID Pre-payment Meter

The MP22 RFID is a new Pre-payment card  electricity meter that has been designed to replace the reconditioned Ampy 5028A and 5188 meters that are currently available. The MP22 is a newer version of the Emlite MP22 meter. This is the only MID certified card pre-payment meter available in today’s market. Using RFID technology (Radio-frequency identification), the credit from the pre-payment cards are transferred without the requirement to insert the card. This is a modern and ideal solution for Caravan Parks, Marinas and Rental Property. The cards for this meter are re-usable and the use of the Desktop Charger and software will allow you to recharge your own cards.
